Magellanic Penguins of Patagonia
We spotted this adorable Earthling, a Magellan Penguin, thousands of miles from his icy home in southern Chile. He had actually reached Peru’s coast. We think he got lost searching for food and caught a ride on the wrong ocean current. Friendly human scientists at the National Paracas Reserve in southern Peru helped the penguin with his injured wing, possibly caused by a fishing net. Now they are trying to help him find his way back home.
