Earthling, Zork and I spotted these cute twin Snow Leopards playing in the snowy mountains of China.
While flying around the planet a few days ago, we landed our Saucy Saucer and communicated with them for a bit via brain waves. They had many interesting things to tell us about their species here on Earth that most humans may not know:
1. Did you know that Snow Leopards cannot roar because they have no larynx.
2. Their bodies are built for snow. They are stocky, with extra thick fur, and their ears are small and rounded, so they don't get too cold. Their paws are wide with fur on the bottom so they can walk across snow and steep surfaces.
3. Snow leopards' tails are extra long so they can keep their balance and are covered with extra fur for warmth.
4. How cute! They use their long fury tail to cover their faces when they sleep. Unfortunately, we were not able to take a picture of them sleeping.
5. They are more closely related to the Cheetah than the leopard.
6. Snow leopards reside in Central and South Asia.
7. Snow Leopard babies are raised by their mothers in dens in snowy mountains but live the rest of their lives mostly alone.
8. Snow leopards usually ambush their prey from up high and can leap as far as 46 feet (14 meters).
9. Bummer Earthlings! The beautiful snow leopard is endangered. There are only 4,000 to 7,500 left in the wild. They are on the Red List of Threatened Species, along with the adorable panda and the handsome tiger.
