Zork and I do not understand how humans can consume other Earthlings. But we do applaud Earthling Ted Turner's use of his 3,000 square miles of ranchland (larger than the state of Delaware) to help protect the planet Earth's environment and to promote the conservation of bison (AKA buffalo).
30 to 60 million bison once roamed the North American Plains. Sadly, the bison population dropped to below 600. Former CNN media mogul and Atlanta Brave's owner Turner now owns approximately 46,000 bison. He has been so successful at repopulating the Earth with bison that he opened a chain of 50 restaurants called "Ted's Montana Grill" which serves bison meat.
Ted Turner's ranches also provide a protected environment for bald eagles, coyotes, ferrets, wolves and the red-cockaded woodpecker.
