I love the beautiful Earthling called the "lion." I spent the afternoon with this mother and cub and learned some things about them. Lioness mothers give birth to up to 4 cubs at a time. Afterward the mother hides her cubs in dense bush for about six weeks and nurses them until the cubs can join the pride.
Cubs begin eating meat at six weeks, but also keep nursing until they are 6-7 months old. The mother takes care of her cubs for up to two year. Female lions remain playful as adults, but males do not.
