Earthlings, there was a billiant study conducted many years ago to see whether a monkey could pick stocks as well as a human. Three Wall Street analysts picked their favorite stocks for the year and one monkey picked his five.
We are aliens and we can communicate with all Earthling animals. Last week while perusing the zoo, we found two Gorillas in a heavy discussion about the financial turmoil facing Wall Street now. I know monkeys are better stock pickers than Wall Street analysts, but what amazed me was the Gorilla's extensive knowledge of derivatives, short selling, futures, commodity trading and so on. We are convinced Gorillas know more about Wall Street than monkeys or humans.
To say that I was impressed is an understatement. I convinced the main, sugar daddy Gorilla to apply for the CEO position at of one of Wall Street firms. He cannot do worse than what has been done. Especially, since they have silver backs.
About the handsome Silverback Gorilla
Generally, the hair on the back and rump of older males grows grey and is lost with age. This coloration has caused humans to call older male gorillas "silverbacks". Wild gorillas live 35 to 40 years, with some captive gorillas living almost 50 years.
Gorillas are peaceful, shy, and amiable unless threatened. However, males will stand erect and beat their chests with their fists in attempts to intimidate or show off their strength. They growl loudly and become very dangerous when annoyed or attacked. Gorillas also demonstrate aggression by charging toward intruders. They rarely hit the intruder, though. Instead, they rush past and may charge again.
Gorillas band together in groups of 5 to 15 individuals. A typical group consists of one dominant male, many adult females with their young. In some cases, a smaller pack of less dominant males will associate on the periphery of this core group. The dominant male, sometimes known as a silverback because of the age-related greying hair on his back, remains dominant until another male displaces him from his position. Displaced silverbacks typically lead a solitary life.
Gorillas are herbivores, eating fruits, leaves, and shoots and sometimes small insects. They spend most of their days eating.
