Earthling, on Zork Planet, animals such as myself (Dink) have very long tongues. For reasons we do not understand, humans are fascinated with long tongues. Because of my ability to speak your Earthling animals via brain waves, I was befuddled to find out that this doggie (his name is Romeo) was obsessed about his tongue as well.
The fabled unicorn of Earth has been found. The okapi is a beautiful deer-like creature with the long blue tongue of a giraffe and the rear parts of a zebra. This animal was only discovered in 1901 when a British explorer sent a skin home to London.
We spotted this adorable Earthling, a Magellan Penguin, thousands of miles from his icy home in southern Chile. He had actually reached Peru’s coast. We think he got lost searching for food and caught a ride on the wrong ocean current. Friendly human scientists at the National Paracas Reserve in southern Peru helped the penguin with his injured wing, possibly caused by a fishing net. Bee-ware! Skunks are one of the primary predators of honey bees. Skunks find a tasty beehive and scratch at the front. As the guard bees come out, he eats them. They will consume every bee in the hive.
Skunks have poor vision. They can't see things more than 3 metres away very clearly. This is not good when they cross a highway. Half of all skunk deaths are caused by humans - cars, shooting and poisoning. They rarely live more than 3 years.
Skunks are famous all over the universe for the scent glands in their "derrieres."
